The Jumala Team

Virl Hill — Captain
CEO
Virl brings years, nay decades, of business and creative experience to the leadership team at Jumala. With a career spanning RealNetworks, Rhapsody, RollingStone.com, Disney and Hanna-Barbera, Virl has helped produce or distribute almost every genre of media through digital and non-digital channels worldwide. He's also studied and performed improv comedy, a useful skill at airports, trade shows and lengthy meetings.
Jeffrey Hutt — The Virtuoso
COO
Jeff is a lifelong musician and an avid guitar enthusiast. But given the choice between a career in music or in video games, he chose the latter when he joined Nintendo of America in 1988. Since then, he was a Director of Looking Glass Studios where he managed multiple game development teams and was CEO of Touchdown Entertainment, a developer and marketer of 3D technologies powering games around the globe. Jeff Joined Jumala in 2009 as Chief Operating Officer and has been making beautiful music ever since.
Frank Savage — The Brain
CTO
From the coal mines to game development. Is there nothing this man can't do? Underneath the rugged exterior is a giant brain filled with inconceivable amounts of game development knowledge. And he has consented to share it with the world! Since 1991 he has worked on games such as Strike Commander, Wing Commander 3 and MechCommander. He then became part of the Microsoft Xbox Advanced Technology Group in 2001 and went on to form the XNA Game Studio team before working as a software architect in the XNA organization. It has been Frank's dream to bring game development to the masses. Now go forth and build!
Aaron Nonis — Creative Pragmatist
Senior UI Programmer
Music and laughter nurture his happy soul. In addition to feeding his passion for Human Computer Interaction, Aaron creates symphonic music to go with his love of video game soundtracks. Did I mention he's a really happy guy?
Aaron Weed — Doc
Quality Assurance Lead
is known for his height and his loud voice, but that's mostly because he's going deaf from too much heavy metal. When he's not playing video games. he enjoys writing and recording music of many different genres, but he can also play a mean game of table tennis and solve a Rubik's cube in under two minutes.
Brian Berryhill — Son of Brian's Mom
Level Designer
Brian's lawful good alignment and his love of cultural anthropology drove him to the world of game design to ensure that everyone begins on equal footing.
Ethan Verrall — The Ladies Man
Programmer
Ethan likes to party. But when he's not off being a professional video gamer, he plays one at work. He also enjoys story driven strategic games and Bikram yoga.
James Morris — Data Guru
Chief Software Architect
Whatever you did or did not want to know, James has got it.
Kyle Shouviller — Codernaut
Programmer
Kyle has the uncanny ability to write vast amounts of code in one go. Likened to a programming Juggernaut, Kyle will tackle any problem, no matter the size, and get it done.
Mark Kim — The Quiet Storm
3D Artist
Under the subdued exterior you will find the next Jim Carrey, but without the physical humor. When he's not creating awesomeness with 3DS Max, you'll finding him cruising the mountains with his snowboard.
Tim Bertram — Mathmagician
Programmer
Tim holds a special place in his heart for evil foliage, especially designing the way they move and behave. Joining the ranks of his creative Jumalian bretheren, he is yet another musically inclined member of the team writing and playing on the guitar.
